Lila Laviano serves as President of the Board of Optimist Youth Homes & Family Services, an organization dedicated to strengthening families and supporting youth through critical moments of transition. Its mission aligns deeply with her commitment to community service, housing stability, and long-term outcomes for vulnerable populations.

Optimist Youth Home and Family Services

Founded in 2021, the Laviano family established Palo Verde Community Group, a 501(c)(3) inspired by the Palo Verde tree—known for its resilience, adaptability, and ability to thrive while giving back to its environment. Proceeds from laundry and vending services are reinvested into the community, supporting local youth programs, service dogs for disabled veterans and individuals and educational enrichment.

Whittier College

As a Trustee of Whittier College, her work supports the institution’s mission to expand access to education. This perspective reinforces ERNA Enterprises’ belief that strong communities are built by aligning education, housing, and opportunity. Education remains a powerful pathway to stability and long-term community strength.
